Electrical Maintenance Engineer £36-38k

Global Manufacturing company requires a Multi Skilled Maintenance Electrician who will be following a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Carry out planned electrical and mechanical maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance plan or allocated by Senior Maintenance Engineer in this process Engineering organisation. Experience gained in a process industry such as food, chemical or similar would be great

·Attend and repair production machinery breakdowns as required, report all actions carried out and any further actions required.

·Be proactive in preventing equipment failures and improving overall equipment performance by generating and implementing ideas and modifications.

·Provide a service that meets agreed service levels, including minimising downtime and communicating effectively with relevant personnel.

·Maintain and help improve health and safety standards and ensure that staff work in a safe environment by eliminating, minimising and controlling risks to themselves and others.

·Undertake training as required to further enhance individual’s skills and knowledge so that the level of support to the front line operations remains effective and efficient.

·Assist to implement a culture of high standards and continual improvement.

The Ideal Candidate will be: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

·Time served with electrical bias educated to HNC/HND level. NVQ level 3 would be considered.

·Post apprenticeship, preferably in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment.

·An experienced practitioner of preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, problem solving and continuous improvement skills

·Able to demonstrate exceptional ability in diagnostic fault finding under pressure of production

·Knowledgeable of PLC and automation systems.

·Knowledgeable of Pneumatic / Hydraulic systems would be an advantage.

·Trained to the 17th / 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
