CNC 1x Miller & 2 x Grinder Machinist Programmer Setters £27-31k + shift premium

CNC Milling or Grinding experience Basic £ 27,308-31,556 + shift premium +overtime dependent on experience

·Select and mount the cutting tools required for the grinding operation, positioning workpieces on the machine and performing the required grinding operations. Strong Milling or Grinding experience would be ideal

·Measure and mark equipment, objects or parts to ensure the required grinding standards are met.

·Provide quality control by inspecting workpieces as they come out of the equipment and removing any defective pieces.

CNC/Manual Milling machines, Lathes and Grinders in accordance with Work Instructions, to produce quality products in a safe and controlled manner, meeting all quality specifications whilst satisfying productivity requirements and in compliance with engineering drawings and associated specifications.

Various shift patterns are available for the CNC Grinding and Milling roles

Working hours are 38 per week. Overtime rate 1.5 over the 38 hours, and double time on a Sunday/bank holiday. Rotating early/afters shifts attract 20% premium on basic hourly rate or 50% for permanent night shifts

Basic Hourly rate £13.82 - £15.97 per hour depending on experience.

Ensure that equipment is maintained, relevant records are up to date and that all processes work effectively to ensure that the business can fulfill its aims. Apprentice trained or similar

Job duties, responsibilities and accountabilities: CNC Machinist Programmer Setter

Read and interpret engineering drawings.

Create, download, edit, archive, read and interpret CNC programs.

Ability to be undertake bench fitting activities.

Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate tooling.

Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate cutting & machining conditions.

Demonstrate knowledge of using measuring equipment .

Use CNC/manual machines. Milling or Grinding experience is essential

Inspection and recording of all relevant dimensions.

Completion of all documentation and record labour bookings.

Demonstrate engagement with other Team Members.

Basic machine maintenance.

Provide support and training to other team members when required
