Press Machinist Operator circa £19,200

This is an exciting opportunity within our clients engineering machine shop. We are open to hearing from any candidates with experience of working on multiple machines within a machine shop / metal forming environment including press machines. You must be technically minded and have an excellent positive attitude to work and problem solving. We would be particularly interested from any candidates with a desire or with previous experience of team leading / supervising.; Days role Monday-Thursday. Circa £19,200+overtime

You do not need to be a fully trained press setter but someone who has Mechanical Engineering knowledge, with an enthusiasm to learn new sills

General duties in this role may include

On completion of set up carry out first off checks and make adjustments to the process to achieve the quality standards
Carry out inspections of the tooling to ensure they are fit for purpose and the quality is maintained
Carry out tooling audits to ensure sufficient tooling available
Carrying out daily routine machine checks and ensure documentation is signed
Report machine issues to the machinery maintenance team
Ensuring excellent attention to detail on finished product
Use previously gained technical knowledge to maintain and manage machines
Ensuring the workload within the area follows the work schedules and dealing with any issues that may affect production as they arise
