Assistant Accountant

£22-25,000 dep on experience plus benefits

A great and rare opportunity to join a very well established, fast growing, multi site South Wales based company.

Ideally, you may be a Part-Qualified Accountant with several years accountancy experience and be looking to develop your experience in a Cardiff based team. This role is a newly created position with training support for the right candidate. May suit an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for career development. The Company are also willing to consider a Finance Accounting Graduate with relevant experience working in an Accounts role. Excel experience would be ideal.

Sales Ledger

Assisting in Cash allocation and Cash Banking Managing the Batch Update Process Reconciling the Invoice Finance Ledger

Purchase Ledger

Conversant with all operations:

Invoice posting, Statement Reconciliation and payments to suppliers

Dealing with Supplier Debit notes

Ensuring supplier statements are reconciled by the Purchase Ledger Clerk.

Posting of Overhead invoices

General Ledger

Daily posting of the cash clearing accounts

Ensuring all cash transactions are processed

Preparing bank reconciliations

Financial and Management Accounting

Preparing financial statements under applicable Reporting Standards

Preparation, reconciliation, and presentation of balance sheet reviews

Assisting with Month end journals

Preparing Monthly Management Accounts from MACE finance system and Excel templates

Experience and Aptitudes

Attention to detail

Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

Excel skills to include Pivot table and data cleansing

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Committed to personal development.

May suit an experienced Accounts Assistant.

Travel to work from; Caerphilly, Barry, Newport, Cardiff, Pontypridd
