Fast growing Engineering business that is part of a UK Industrial Group of companies.
This is a newly created Business Development, Account Management Senior Field Sales Management role. The role will suit an experienced and ambitious Sales Engineer or Technical Sales representative.
You will develop and increase Sales in line with agreed targets and sales plan. You are likely to be living in the North of England ideally near Manchester, Stockport, Wigan, Salford, Warrington and you will be able to work from home as necessary.
Experience of Tubes and Pipelines gained in the Water or Oil and Gas industries would be ideal. Experience of Engineered products -selling Flanges, Valves or Pressure Vessels would be an advantage.
BS10255 knowledge is essential
BS EN 10255 tube known by many names including BS 1387 steel tube, gas list, steam tube, blue band, red band and many others.
It is available in a range of finishes, these include red oxide primer painted, HDG galvanised and self-colour, also known as black or unfinished steel. Each finish is available in both medium and heavy wall thicknesses to suit a just about any pressure requirement. Range 1/2" (15mm) nominal bore up to 6” or DN150. Used for sprinkler systems, diesel, petrol or oil line, non-potable water system or hand railing.
You will be required to find new customers/market sectors and advise on requirements to develop new markets increasing potential sales and margin expectation. The Account Development Manager will be responsible for the growth and development of existing and new customers.

You must have extensive Technical Business Development Sales experience possibly with a Machine shop background. You will be selling an engineered product not a service.
You will manage existing customer base and develop new customers within the UK to ensure sales and margin targets are achieved.
You will have the ability to;
Acquire customer product approvals for both manufactured and traded products.
Be fully conversant with the commercial and technical requirements of customers and competitors within preselected and defined market sectors. .
Provide weekly - visit schedules and previous week customer visit reports
Respond to and follow up all sales enquiries and quotations using appropriate methods i.e. CRM, recording results to an agreed format.
Communicate on a frequent basis, progress of account action plans, objectives and overall budgets
Contribute to annual Business plans / strategy for the development of sales into the Industrial & process related market sectors.
Provide technical support at customers request.
Ensure you show regard for your fellow colleagues.
