Circa £50-55,000 depending on exp + Bonus + Benefits


The company leads the market in innovation – which originates from their expertise in understanding the shopper and consumer.


You will combine creativity with strategy to help grow the business. You will be an experienced Marketing Manager who has ideally gained significant experience in the Food Manufacturing industry.


This role has two main functions; category and marketing management and will suit someone who is both analytical and creative.


You will be acutely aware that Category managers understand and change shopper behaviour. They research the shopper using quantitative and qualitative methods. Companies rely on Category Managers to creatively and strategically change shopper behaviour through creating new product ideas, advertising, and even developing nudges using behavioural economics.


Marketing managers focus on the practical application of marketing orientation, techniques and methods within businesses and on the management activities and resources.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work cross-functionally both internally & with our customers

  • Applying a systematic process to all your category management projects

  • Processing an extensive, diverse set of data into a coherent strategy and plan

  • Developing category tactics that are better aligned to deliver the category vision, strategies and objectives, including ranging, layout and promotions.

  • Building compelling category commercial proposals that better deliver retailers’ needs.

  • Devising business questions, using data to create insights, activating decision trees, improving category strategies, aligning category tactics to strategies, category scorecards, forming compelling proposals, implementing and evaluating category plans

  • Creation of monthly retailer reports, newsletters and email flyers using external data sources including Kantar Worldpanel, Retail Link, Mintel, IGD and The Food People

  • Creation of internal marketing material for staff communications

  • Managing and analysing results of online market research panels

  • Maintaining and distributing retailer gap analysis reports

  • Contributing to brain storming sessions about future innovation

  • Creation and ownership of Christmas category autopsy report incl. presenting findings and recommendations to our retail partners.

  • Keeping abreast of latest food/ consumer trends

  • Attending trade exhibitions and conferences

  • Be self-motivated and driven with the desire and ability to make a real difference

Min 5 yrs + Marketing Management Experience

Right to work in UK without sponsorship

UK Driving Licence

Food Industry Experience Desirable
