The role will start as a Contract position and may suit a recent Graduate Engineer.

Dynamic, self-motivated with at least TWO years experience in a mechanical engineering design environment. Preferable a graduate or time served mechanical engineer with min HND qualification. Recent graduates studying relevant automotive or mechanical design engineering degrees would also be considered.

An applicant must demonstrate his or her experience of using 3 D cad design software programs with knowledge of using Pro Engineer Creo would be a distinct advantage. Applicants without 3D cad experience need not apply.

Experienced in procedures that support the design and development requirements of ISO 9001-2000. A candidate prepared to deploy their own time management skills to ensure that tasks are completed in line with designated time lines and project commitments. Experience and strong understanding of process technologies within the sheet, light metal fabrication, rubber application and plastics processes using DFM techniques again would strongly support the post.

Design experience with electrical automotive dc systems will well help support this position.

Experience in the administration and management of Engineering Design Change systems would be a distant advantage.

There will be the occasional requirement to undertake business travel to support design reviews with business associates and customer projects. This may include overseas travel.
