A fantastic opportunity to join a Global Engineering and Manufacturing Group based in the Tredegar area of South Wales. Ideally you will be living in or near South Wales and nor require any company Sponsorship

Key duties and responsibilities of the experienced Process Operations Engineer ;

You must+have experience of working in Manufacturing industry in a similar role role for 3+ years. Experience gained in a Production Supervisory r ole and having an Engineering background would.be great

  • Monitoring day to day operations of a continually functioning plant and reporting/monitoring concerns.

  • The Process Operations Engineer will be the point of contact and support for five shift teams, escalating as required to Line Manager and/or HR Team.

  • Ensuring; sufficient consumables are available and responsible for replenishments.

Chemical deliveries are scheduled in line with production schedules.

Safe working methods (SWMs) are current and adhered to.

  • Accountable for accuracy of training records data and refresher training is up to date.

  • Drafting new SWMs resulting from new/changing operations.

  • Ensuring any faults/hazards are logged and resolved/responded to in a sufficient timeframe.

  • Responsible for;

  • Conducting return to work interviews.

  • Actively seeking and effectively delivering changes to process within the resources and budgeting limitations.

  • Review of process data and identifying opportunities and abnormalities.

  • Actively develop and promote EHS and housekeeping standards.

General

  • Always work in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.

  • Actively meet individual, team and company aims and objectives.

  • Behave in a positive and professional manner.

  • Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

  • Be highly self-motivated and organised.

  • Provide suggestions that will contribute to the development of the Company.

  • Work as part of the team and help foster good working relationships.

  • Keep up to date with relevant industry developments.

  • Adhere to the Company Health and Safety policy.

  • Report any unsafe conditions, equipment or practices immediately to the appropriate manager.

  • To follow all company policies and procedures.

  • To conduct any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager.

Job Requirements

Process Engineer

Qualifications and Training

A mechanical background is essential. The ideal candidate will have gained experience within process Industry, preferably Metals or Chemicals.

You should have a past experience of managing team within a production plant in a similar role.

Experience of Lean Manufacturing practices.

Knowledge and Experience

Organisation - The demand of the role shifts quickly therefore the Process Operations Engineer will be required to effectively manage and complete multiple tasks.

I.T - You will be competent using Microsoft Office Applications.

Awareness of Process Automation.

Skills Required

Excellent Communications Skills

Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

Professional work ethic.

Leadership skills.

The Process Engineer can travel to work from;

Newport, Bridgend, Port Talbot, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Hereford, Merthyr, Tredegar, Ebbw Vale, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Swansea.
