Senior .Net Developer, Cardiff, circa £50,000 pa + Benefits





A fantastic opportunity has arisen as Our Client is expanding its Head office in Cardiff to deal with a growing customer base and growing workflow. This includes .Net Developers to work on an in-house written solution. Our Client is looking for candidates who are

Our Client has a fast moving development process, in order to deal with the large customer base under its umbrella. The team work in an Agile environment, and operate the typical full development lifecycle from specification gathering right through to test, delivery and support. Although the .Net development is focused more on the development tasks of the lifecycle, we expect interaction with other lifecycle tasks such as giving early input to specifications or assisting on technical support tasks.

Utilising various technologies day to day, we would expect candidates to be proficient with

· Visual Studio 2010 > 2017

· SQL Server databases, TSQL, tables, indexes, stored procedures

· SQL Server Management Studio

· VB.Net

· C#

· ASP.Net WebForms

· JQuery and JQuery Widgets

· HTML, CSS, XML, JSON

· ADO.Net

· Web Services, SOAP, WCF, WebAPI

· AJAX

· Windows Server 2008 > 2016, usage

· IIS Management

· TFS

· Windows 7/8/10

· Microsoft Word/Excel

Desirables would include

· C++

· Flash Builder, ActionScript

· Qt

· XCode

· Xamarin

· Mac, iOS, Android, embedded OS (Raspberry Pi etc) development

· Microsoft Reporting/Analysis Services

· Crystal Reports

· Windows Server, IIS and SQL Server setup

· Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud

Senior level developers are expected to communicate with stakeholders on a more involved level, such as with business consultants, process owners, customers and partners. The developer should convey confidence in their capabilities, not just internally to the business but potentially externally in such activities as technical level pre-sales or customer project calls requiring technical backing.

The salary offered for the role will range depending on capability of competence using required technologies and knowledge.

· Location - Cardiff, CF24

· Standard office hours 09:00 – 17:30 Monday – Friday

· Holiday entitlement 20 days per annum start, increasing 1 day to 25 days’ per annum maximum for each full year employed, excluding public holidays. Entitlement starts 1st Jan.

· Company pension plan
